Romance was Born at RAFW

Stunning, words cannot describe stunning, heels shown at Romance was Born at RAFW.
I am unsure if they are the actual Giambattista Valli heels, or the better priced RMK copies, but I truley think they made the show.
Romance was Born - 1, all other shoes in the world - 0

Marry me: Camilla and Marc

Some brother and sister action? Sure!
Anything for my beloved idols: Camilla and Marc.

Check out the highlights from their newest SS 10 collection just shown in Sydney today:

The use of stark black on dewy faced models with metallic skirts is an update on the raw and grungy edge is cloaked over us this Winter. It seems for summer we are going back to fresh nudes, pinks and whites. Overtones of girly, with undertones of fading grunge and goth. Exposed midriffs and well cut pants dictate the next summer season, and our sudden need to join the gym (Olivia Newton excerise videos anyone?)

Again, Camilla or Marc--- marry me? (I'm really nice!)

Housemate needed!

My searches on 'flatmate finders' are bringing me accountants and weirdos! So, thought I may as well let Alligators Apple bloggers know I need a housemate! I live in lovely Carlton, about 1 min from the CBD (Melbourne). So on the off-chance you are looking for a room in an awesome place (yes, I DO live in the Barbie dream house!) send me an email ashs_uni@hotmail.com
and I can give you some more info on the place! :)

Sass & Bide = GPO

Sass and Bide have just opened another Melbourne boutique in GPO. This makes three, and you know what they say third times a charm!
I am that excited because GPO is close to work and home, so I am hoping to befriend the sales assistants in a vain attempt for discounts!! hehe

I am suffering from a major desire for the following items:

If they are not hanging in my wardrobe by the end of the season, I think I may just die?!

Sartorialist: Honorary Melburnian

YAY-- The Sartorialist is in old Melbourne town to shoot our local lassies and lads!

Here is a shot from Chapel Street:

Nice one, brother!

Old Man Crush: Gilles Bensimon

We all probably know his name from Americas Next Top Model (shame on us, but Tyra says it so sexy-like!) but famed ELLE photographer is my most recent "Old Man Crush"

Ok, you may not see it (the above shot is so Satorialist-esq!) but all that means is more old man for me! I think he is cute! Rugged yet refined.....Not to mention cosmically talented (duh) below is a selection of my favourites shots of his:

Some peices from it are available on runwaygirl.com.au

Used to

Remember all the brands you used to think were "designer" and just totally awesome in general. Think when you when you were 13-15.

For my generation it was all about Skechers, Rusty, Doc Martens, Le Freaks, Lee, Stussy, Westco and Supre was just recently on the scene!
And, as time passes, we obviously grow out of each one and move on to the next-- often bigger and better. However, I stumbled across the Insight website and noticed they have some excellent peices, especially for AW 09. Of course, you see a bit of it in General Pants and the like-- but in my opinion, not enough if their stylists are creating such cute ensembles as these!

Beyonce's Chastidy Belt

Do I need to say more? Tiger print, diamond encrusted, hair that is large... and... is that tiger abs????

Bargain Barkins Bargain

Not that I like to share all that much (I had a serious Barbie sharing problem in primary school) but-- this Blazer is only $69.95
Where? Barkins. I have only just discovered them-- is it a Sydney thing? Still in shock by its cheapness. Knits are $29, Singlets $9.95, Skirts $39.95.

Great for the corporate environment which suits me just fine and dandy, as I vehemently dislike spending my hard earned at overpriced brands like Cue for a work wardrobe (would rather buy dumplings and platforms, thanks)

I got the blazer in the mail yesterday and the quality is excellent Really worth a look.

Yum Cha with the Girrlllzz

Man, we can eat. I did not even get my own photos because I was too busy chowing down! Needless to say, the only photo there is of the food was actually after the lovely Lazy Susan had been cleared at least 4 times.

Meet the girls who don't know the meaning of diet! :)
